2010 already?

Every science-fiction movie I've ever seen has LIED to me!  I want my money back... or just hand over my fair share of jetpacks and food replicators.

In art-related news, Andy is currently hard at work on a stack of cards for Rittenhouse Archive's Marvel 70th Anniversary set.  Be on the lookout for his cards to hit the shelves later this year.  This particular set is going to be slightly different from what Andy's done before.  EVERY card in Andy's set will be a piece of a larger "puzzle".  There are 10 9-card puzzles, and several smaller puzzles.  ALSO, every card will feature a unique character from Marvel's illustrious history.  That means, true believers, that NO character will be drawn twice.  Want a Captain America card from Andy's set?  There's only one!  There are 100 separate characters, on 100 cards.  Everyone get your eBay finger on the trigger!

We tried something new, recently, and have received a lot of good feedback.  Andy has been hosting live drawing sessions streamed via Ustream.com.  So far there have been two broadcasts, and both were a ton of fun for us and for Andy's fans.  The second broadcast was recorded and can be seen here.  Viewers of the live broadcast can log in to chat with Andy while he works, and comment or ask questions, or quiz Andy on his near-infinite knowledge of TV trivia.  Future broadcasts will be announced here, and on Andy's Facebook site.  Stay tuned!

Go, go gadget Dragon*Con!!

We finally got the word that there is actually a table for us in artist's alley at Dragon! 
w00t!
Andy literally did NOT sleep last night in order to get several FANTASTIC new pieces done for this show.  There's one, in fact, that I may have to mud wrestle buyers over because I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!

I'm not sure exactly where our booth is, but I'll be tweeting updates all weekend to my account GrimGracey, AND to Andy's new "Official" Twitter account, AndyPriceArt!

We'll probably be posting sneak peaks at some of the convention sketches, and any celebs we manage to hobnob with this year.  Stay tuned to BOTH accounts to get the whole story!

Yay, I did it!

I just finished editing and posting the last of the art, and I declare this website finished!  At least until Andy gets some new art done...

House cleaning and eBaying

In preparation for next year's convention season, we've been clearing out old junk and whatnot.  In the process, we've retired some prints.  A lot of prints, actually.  The GOOD news is, you can snatch these prints up at a ridiculous $5 each from our aptly named "Retired Prints" gallery.  The BAD news is, these are VERY limited quantity and when they run out, they're gone forever.

In other news, Andy has posted some of his original sketch cards on eBay!  Sketch card fans, here's a great way to get some beautiful original art without having to slog to a convention.  Depending on how these sell, we might post some more... so get to bidding!

Thanks to everyone who inquired about our adult art galleries.  I think I've worked out a system, but I'll have to test it and get it ready before going live.  Watch this space for more info.

Update!

Just wanted you to know that I've done some updating on the site today. 

• The "Original Art" and "Odds and Ends" galleries are fully up to date.
• Posted the X-Men Archives cards in their own little spot to your right. 
• There is a notice about adult art, since we get so many requests about that.
• I added several scans from FANTASTIC convention-goers who have been kind enough to submit their Andy Price con sketches.

Thanks for your patience, everyone!  Over the weekend, Andy and I will be going through and culling all of the prints that will be retired. Look for an update by Monday with a list of all of the retiring prints, and take advantage of your last chance to get these (at an alluring reduced price) before they're gone forever.

Post-Chicago Comic Con decompression

WHEW!   What a show!  Thanks to everyone who came by to say hello, or even to buy stuff!  It's great to see old friends and meet some new ones.  We had a great time, and even gave ourselves a few days in the city afterward to just chill. 

Despite having vowed to take a breather from sketch cards for a while, Andy has been enticed back into the family for "just one more" set.  He will, again, be doing dealer case incentive cards for a set I can't tell you about.  *does anyone else feel that tingling?*

After these cards are done, he's REALLY going to take a break and catch up on private commissions.  For those playing the home game, that DOES mean that *gasp!* Andy's commission list might very well open up at the beginning of 2010.  Shocking, I know.

Be sure that I will post an announcement here the very moment Andy's commission schedule opens up, and I'll be posting the new pricing structure, schedule, etc.

We've already got fans sending in scans of Andy's con sketches from this show, and I'll be sharing them with you all once I get them all together and properly configured.

Heroes Con, etc.

Most of you probably know that Heroes Con in Charlotte is coming up in the next few weeks.  Andy is feverishly finishing up his current Marvel project so he can churn out some new art for the show!  I WISH I could show you guys the cards he's currently working on... it's absolutely amazing!  I can't, of course, show you pictures (yet), but let me just say that fans of 30's - 40's movie stars will LOVE these.  *gleep*
